Okay, no highfalutin’ philosophy here, just lots of glorious mud.

Check the cool opening sequence of this YouTube video by Northern Ireland runner Steven J. Reid. I can’t imagine a bona-fide red-blooded trail runner who wouldn’t smile.

The GoPro Hero 8 Black action camera is a remarkable piece of technology, and it’s not just for filming motorcycles jumping over Jeeps. I use mine for documentary work in school classrooms, music rehearsals, and other sedate activities appropriate to my age. It’s amazing that the muddy trail clip was shot on a camera that you can easily hide in a fist.

Steven’s discovery of a way to prevent water from clogging the GoPro lens cover is wonderful.
